Dan
Garner

Dan reads human physiology with a researcher's rigor and coaches it with 15 years of one-on-one practice. He finds the constraint capping energy, recovery or progress, then builds the training, nutrition and supplementation around removing it. Vitality, the platform he co-founded, puts that same method within reach of any coach or individual.

01  Record

Research-grade analysis, one client at a time

Dan publishes in peer-reviewed journals, reads client labs himself, and coaches every protocol through to the retest. The same standard of evidence runs through all three.

Research

Peer-reviewed author

3 papers on supplementation, exercise physiology and safe supplement practice, in journals including the British Journal of Nutrition and Experimental Physiology.

Lab analysis

2,000+ client panels

Blood, urine, stool and saliva results, read by Dan himself to find what's limiting energy, recovery, body composition and output.

Training

Over 20 Certifications

Health science at Mohawk College, Precision Nutrition Levels 1 and 2, and Functional Medicine University, among others.

Practice

15 years one-on-one

75+ professional athletes across 13 sports, alongside founders, executives and performers who want the same standard of care.

02  Method

Measure, then coach

Dan has taught this system to coaches across the industry, as an international lecturer, through his mentorships and on select podcasts. This is the bottom-up approach he takes with every client.

1

Start with the schedule

Dan's first look at a new client is their calendar, before their labs. A protocol a CEO can't run on a travel week produces no physiological effect, so adherence gets solved before anything else.

Consistency beats intensity every time, 10 times out of 10.
2

Measure the result

Sessions logged and hours spent are activity. Dan measures the outcome the client came for and moves effort toward whatever changes it.

The hardest worker in the room is never the one who gets the most results. It's only the person who's able to allocate that hard work into the most intelligent areas who gets the best results.
3

Find the constraint

Dan applies the theory of constraints to physiology. He identifies the weakest link, such as low iron, low vitamin D, suppressed testosterone or a joint issue, and fixes that first. A client training hard against an unaddressed constraint usually stays flat no matter how good the program is.

I treat evidence from experience with equal value as from PubMed.
4

Separate signal from noise

One heavy weigh-in or one off lab draw tells you very little on its own. Dan reads every number against its normal variation and its trend over several weeks, and only changes the plan when a shift holds up past the noise. Reacting to every data point is how good programs get abandoned before they work.

One bad weigh-in has never changed my plan. Three bad weeks will.
5

Build for the individual

Dan works across nutrition, training, supplements, peptides and hormones, and uses each one where a client's physiology calls for it. Nothing goes in by default and nothing is ruled out on principle. Every protocol is built for one body, and that precision is how serious people get world-class results.

If two of my clients are on the same protocol, I've failed one of them.
03  Platform

Vitality makes Dan's method available to anyone

Dan co-founded Vitality and built its interpretive frameworks, the models that read a client's physiology, isolate the systemic constraints, and set the protocol that removes them.

Vitality reads bloodwork against performance thresholds and the client's own previous panels. It prioritizes what's limiting energy, recovery and output, and turns it into nutrition, supplement, training and behavior direction across a 13-week cycle that ends in a retest.

Who Dan works with

Founders and executives, actors and performers, and 75+ professional athletes across 13 sports. Each one goes through the same method: start with the schedule, measure the result, find the constraint, separate signal from noise, and build a protocol that takes that person directly to their goals.
